Good and simple, from the construction down to the floor plans

This is a vertical extension with good floor plans, a good mix of flats, and a cost-efficient construction method. It succeeds in translating the qualities of Vienna social housing into the vertical extension, while at the same time adding value to the existing building. The project is designed as a wood panel construction with visible ribbed slabs: plain and simple just like the Gründerzeit buildings. All in all, this is a well thought-out, restrained but natural extension of the existing building.
